I note that (in your book) you have sought to combine sound Catholic teaching with your own thoughts and insights. The book is solid in its spiritual content. I congratulate you on your effort. The number of testimonies that you have concerning the seminar experience clearly reveal its spiritual fruitfulness.
I want to commend you on your efforts to help Catholics “come alive” in their faith and relationship to God and the Church, as well as your efforts to help them discover the grace of the Holy Spirit.
Bishop Colin Campbell DD (Dunedin N.Z.)
I Find Roger’s book a stimulating and vibrant testament as to what God has been doing in his life. This personal account of his faith journey is one that he wants us to accompany him on, so that the reader will come to know and love God at a deeper level in his or her life. Roger is keen to share the riches of the graced life with others.
It is refreshing to see in Roger L’Huillier a Catholic lay evangelist keen to share the Good News. His book Catholics “Come Alive” will be a tonic for everyday Catholics and a real catalyst to help them to share the treasure of their faith personally with others. I liked especially his fund of stories, anecdotes and examples. These testimonies all show what the Holy Spirit can do in our lives.

I greatly admire the unselfish apostolic spirit that is evident in your text. You show yourself to be an effective evangelist – particularly in the very practical way in which you guide people towards a true conversion and openness to a meeting with God. It is clear from what you have written that you are a loyal and conscientious member of the Church.
Allan Panozza (Executive Director of Catholic Charismatic Renewal in Melbourne, and former President of ICCRS – 2000 to 2007)
Congratulations on putting together an excellent work which contains a huge amount of teaching material and commentary.

It is in the title Catholics “Come Alive” that the reader is called to enter into dialogue with the essence of this book. Roger has prepared a very thorough presentation to enable Catholics to really “Come Alive” in Christ. He speaks out of his own personal experience and encourages the reader to make the journey with him so that not only do we know about Jesus but we are committed to entering into a personal relationship with Jesus to such an extent that we actually come to know Him. This book marks out a way for each one to respond to this call – to enter into and foster this relationship with the most important person in our lives – Jesus Christ.

I found Catholics “Come Alive” to be informative, encouraging and inspiring. It gives us insights on how to grow in our faith. The explanations in the book are grounded by the many references to Sacred Scripture and the Catholic Catechism. Through Roger’s personal sharing we come to understand that a personal relationship with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit is desirable and possible for everyone.
This book reveals God’s love for us and shows us ways to live in the fullness of His love. Every home would be blessed by having a copy.
