Today we witness many events around the world which we might sum up as a culture of death. These events cause us deep concern and no doubt many of us might feel helpless to do anything about these things.

The correct response, of course, would be an equal and opposite force, that is, a culture of life, indeed life eternal.

I was privileged to be in St. Peter’s (The Vatican) in May 1975, when I heard Pope Paul VI say (in French): “This renewal in the Holy Spirit is a CHANCE for the Church.” That one word “chance” hit me hard, and has motivated my life ever since.

Can we not all make our own contribution, limited though it might be, to further a culture of the Holy Spirit, a culture of love.

Would it be possible for each and every one of us to be a “chance” to offer LIFE to others, and indeed, further down the track – POPULATE PARADISE!

Dear Reader, you have in your hands one such vehicle of “chance”, a vehicle of the Holy Spirit, crafted by the Holy Spirit Himself through the wise and loving instrument, Roger L’Huillier.

Now this wonderful vehicle you have in your hands, crafted by Roger and assisted by several other wise people who are accomplishing much “in the grip” of the Holy Spirit, will exact some pain from you. The pain of setting aside time. The pain of praying. The pain of preparation and presentation. But Jesus never shrank from any pain, and I feel you will not either. You will tackle mastering this manual with love. Love for God, love for yourself, and love for others, so that they will flourish and become all that God created them to be.

What a ministry!
What a life!

Let us launch out into the deep, the deep which is managed by the Holy Spirit Himself, and play our part in building a civilisation of love, a counter-culture of the Holy Spirit, this foretaste of Paradise!
