Congratulations, Roger, on your Catholics, “Stay Alive!” Manual, you have done a mighty job. It is obvious from beginning to end that this manual is born of much experience and as such is eminently practical. Anyone presenting or participating in these workshops will gain great benefit from absorbing the guidelines and tips outlined for each of the five sessions. I highly recommend this publication to all presenters of the workshops.

After publishing his second book – Catholics, “Stay Alive!” – Roger has wisely produced this workshop manual, as he says, “for guiding people through the continuing journey of hope and healing.” It is a spiritual recipe book for building self-worth, how to be healed from the inside out (inner healing), praying for healing and, very importantly, praying for healing for all those who comprise our family tree. Having personally experienced so much of what this manual presents, I would not only recommend it to others but really urge every person to partake of its richness. Just do not miss out on all that is readily available to each one of us if only we knew.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to look through your Catholics, “Stay Alive”! manual, it is surely God’s work. We all have different gifts and different needs and this manual meets two important needs in today’s society. The first is to be enabled to recognise that, if we have a particular problem in our lives -be it physical, spiritual or emotional – no matter how difficult it may seem to be in terms of overcoming it, it is possible to do so with Jesus’ help. Secondly, Roger has clearly shown through this manual, that Jesus continues to be active and known through His disciples who are prepared to be His hands, His voice and presence as they bring His healing love to those who are broken and hurting.

Congratulations, Roger, on all the hard work that you have put into this Manual, with prayer, love and sheer perseverance. This ministry is badly needed, right across planet Earth!

In this Catholics, “Stay Alive!” Manual, Roger provides an easy and very useful step-by-step process for lay people to lead others in four different aspects of healing ministry. This wonderful manual is a demonstration of God’s Holy Spirit equipping and leading him in his own giftedness, and therefore encourages others to step out in faith and trust that they too can be instruments in the hand of God. I especially appreciated the sessions on Healing the Family Tree and Inner Healing. There is such a need for healing in our Church today. I thoroughly recommend this manual and pray that many people will take the opportunity to grow in their faith through it and would love to see Parishes take up this opportunity as an Adult Faith resource.

Once begun, the Christian journey needs “fuel in the tank” to keep going. While on the journey it is very easy to run out of fuel, especially when our life gets tough. This program, which has been lovingly prepared and developed by Roger L’Huillier provides some of that fuel for the journey. Jesus said, “When two or three are gathered together in my name, then I shall be in their midst.” The format of this program builds on that basic necessity of community development and shared life together as a people of God. I recommend this manual to anyone keen to develop their faith as a living witness alive in Jesus Christ.
